Every pane except the windshield: door glass, quarter and vent windows, sunroof panels, back glass with defroster or antenna. Most sit between $200 and $500, side and rear fits take about an hour, and glass generally arrives a day or two after we confirm the part off the VIN.

Eastchester sends us an unusually wide range of vehicles, and that shows up most in this category. Windshields are broadly standardised across a model run. Door, quarter and vent glass is not, and the further back you go the more the variations multiply. A car from fifteen years ago can have three different rear door glasses across its production, distinguished by nothing you can see from outside.
That is why nothing gets ordered until we have the VIN and have checked the build against it. Once the correct pane is confirmed we tell you the price, quoting factory-specification glass beside a quality aftermarket equivalent, and give you a real date rather than a hopeful one. The fit itself is straightforward: about an hour for side and rear, with bonded panes such as back glass and sunroof panels carrying a cure time afterwards. Door cards come off properly rather than being levered, the cavity is cleared, the regulator is checked and the window is run through its full travel before the keys go back. Most jobs land between $200 and $500. Where a comprehensive claim makes sense we bill the insurer directly rather than handing you a form to chase.
“The family owned company fixed my screen door glass quickly and at a very reasonable price - hundreds less than others quoted. So professional and friendly. Would use them again and again!”

The plazas along White Plains Road are where a lot of this damage happens, and it is almost always mundane. Shopping trolleys get away from people in a lot with a slope on it, doors get opened into the car alongside, and vans reverse into things they cannot see, all of which takes out door and quarter glass rather than windshields. Route 22 through Eastchester is a run of exactly that kind of parking. There is a second source in the residential half of the town, where mature trees over the streets drop limbs onto parked cars after storms and back glass takes the hit. Either way the drive down Wilmot Road is fifteen minutes, and the car only needs to be with us for about an hour once the pane has arrived.

We do the glass. Bodywork is a different trade and we are not going to pretend otherwise, because glass is the family trade here and it is all we do. What we will do is fit the new pane, make sure the channel and regulator are working properly, and tell you honestly if the door frame is distorted enough that the window will never seal correctly until the panel is sorted.
We quote both and explain the difference. On plain tempered door glass the gap is usually small and good aftermarket is a sensible choice. Where it matters more is laminated side glass, acoustic panes, privacy tint that has to match the rest of the car, and anything with a heating element or antenna in it. On those we tend to lean factory specification and we will say why.
