The first question on any of these jobs is what the glass actually is, and the answer is less obvious than people expect. Door windows are usually tempered, which means they shatter into cubes rather than crack, but a growing number of newer cars use laminated side glass for noise and security, and that behaves completely differently. Back glass is bonded and often carries a defroster grid or a radio antenna printed into it. Sunroof panels are bonded too and sit in a frame that has to keep tracking properly afterwards.
We work out which of those you have from the VIN, not from the model name, then quote the factory-specification pane and a quality aftermarket equivalent side by side. Once the glass is here the fit is usually about an hour for side and rear, with bonded panes carrying a cure time on top.
