We would rather set expectations properly on this one. Bronxville is a square mile of narrow streets, metered blocks and houses whose garages were built for smaller cars, and there are addresses here where there is genuinely nowhere for a technician to stand beside the vehicle with a windshield in his hands. Pretending otherwise wastes your morning and ours.
Where there is a proper driveway, and plenty of houses have one, the job runs exactly as it would in the bay. Level ground, room around the car, dry weather for anything bonded, and about an hour of work plus an hour of cure. Where there is not, you are fifteen minutes from Main Street by the Cross County and the Hutch and the car goes into a proper bay instead. Chip repairs are the exception that almost always travels, since there is no adhesive and the van needs little more than access to the front of the vehicle for half an hour. If we do come to you, the work is identical: cavity cleared on a door glass, pinch weld prepared and primed on a windshield, camera recalibrated where the car allows it on site. Nothing is trimmed back because the job is happening in a driveway rather than a bay.

The metered blocks around Pondfield Road are the specific problem. Turnover there is constant from mid-morning onward, spaces are timed, and a van set up beside a car for ninety minutes is both conspicuous and in the way. The residential streets climbing away from the centre are better, though the older ones are narrow enough that a car parked at the kerb leaves very little clearance to traffic. Where Bronxville does work well for us is the larger properties toward the edges of the village, where driveways are set back and there is room to work comfortably. We look at the actual address rather than the town when we decide, and we will tell you which way it falls before you book anything.
