Level ground is not a detail we can wave away. Glass has to be set square in an opening and adhesive has to sit where it is laid, and neither of those goes well on a slope. Tuckahoe has streets steep enough that a car parked on them sits at a visible angle, so before booking a bonded job here we ask where the car actually stands rather than just taking the address.
Usually there is a solution nearby. Apartment lots around the station tend to be flatter than the streets above them, and moving the car thirty yards is often all it takes. Where nothing level is available, the bay is fifteen to eighteen minutes away and the problem disappears. Door glass and chip repairs are far more forgiving and can be done on a mild gradient without difficulty. Whatever we do, the price matches the in-shop figure, because there is no travel charge inside our normal range and Tuckahoe is comfortably within it. We will also tell you before booking whether your car can have its camera calibrated on site or whether that has to happen in the bay, so nothing is discovered halfway through.

The apartment buildings stacked around the station are where most of our Tuckahoe mobile work happens, and they come with their own arrangement. Numbered spaces in a shared lot mean the building has to know we are coming, and mid-morning is usually the quiet window when there is room to work without somebody wanting the space beside you. Marbledale Road is the other pocket, where trade businesses and light industry mean there are yards and lots with space to work, though also more traffic moving through them than a residential street would have. Between the two, most of the village is workable. It is the steep side streets above the station where we are most likely to suggest bringing the car down instead.

Not necessarily, but it depends how steep. A mild slope is manageable. A gradient where the car visibly sits nose-down is not somewhere we want to be setting a bonded pane, because glass wants to move under gravity while the urethane is still green. If your driveway is one of the steep ones we will suggest either a flatter spot nearby or the bay, which is fifteen minutes away.
Whoever manages the building or the lot. A quick word is normally enough, and it avoids somebody challenging a van parked next to your car with the door open. If the lot has assigned spaces, tell us the number when you book. If it is underground or has low clearance, mention that too, because the van may not fit and we would rather know beforehand.
