We bring the van to Mamaroneck at in-shop prices with no trip charge, including the harbour and boatyard side of the village. Allow about an hour on site plus roughly an hour of cure on bonded glass. Weather decides more here than anywhere else we cover.

Working on the water end of the village is straightforward as long as the conditions cooperate. Harbour Island, the boatyard lots and the streets running down to the water all give us space to set up, and cars there are often parked for hours at a time, which is exactly what a bonded glass job wants. What they also give us is wind and damp coming off the Sound, and that is the part we plan around.
Urethane needs dry conditions to reach full strength, and wind blows grit onto a freshly prepared pinch weld faster than you would believe. So for windshields and back glass we look at the forecast honestly and move the appointment rather than gambling on the seal. Under cover is better if you have it. Door glass and chip repair are far less fussy and go ahead in most weather. Prices are the same as the bay whichever way it goes, since there is no trip charge inside our normal range and Mamaroneck is well within it. Chip repairs are the one job weather never stops, since resin and ultraviolet light do not care what is happening outside. Those are done and finished in half an hour.
“Stained glass on our front door needed cleaning and resealing. Work was done by another company but seal broke again. Diamond did the job and the triple pane glass came out crystal clear equal to or better than new. Work was performed by…”

The flooding here is the other thing we take into account when booking a mobile visit. Certain low streets in the village take water in heavy rain when the Mamaroneck and Sheldrake rivers back up, and standing water is not a setting for glass work, both because of the obvious and because silt on a work area finds its way into places it should not. If your street is one of the ones that goes under, tell us and we will schedule accordingly. We would rather move a booking by a day than work around water. On a normal day the village is easy ground, and the harbour lots in particular are level, open and quiet enough that a windshield can go in without anyone rearranging their afternoon.
Same service, same price, other New Rochelle neighborhoods:
Yes, and those lots are usually good working conditions: level, open and not full of moving traffic. The one requirement is that whoever runs the yard knows we are coming, because a van and an open car in a private lot for ninety minutes will otherwise get somebody's attention. Wind coming off the water is the other factor, and if it is blowing hard we may suggest a different day for bonded glass.
About an hour for anything bonded, which covers windshields, back glass and roof panels. That is the safe drive-away time for the urethane and it is a real figure rather than a cautious one. Door glass has no cure period, so you can use the car immediately. Chip repairs are the same, done and finished in half an hour with no waiting at all.
Tell us the vehicle and the glass that's damaged — you'll see your price instantly, and we'll hold it for you.
