Yonkers is a big city stretched over a lot of hills, and the practical question is almost always whether the car should come to us or we should come to the car. Both work, and the answer usually comes down to where the car sleeps. From most of Yonkers the run east on the Cross County Parkway and south on the Hutchinson River Parkway puts you at 555 Main Street in about twenty-five minutes, and if you are dropping off anyway you can walk to the New Rochelle platform from our door.
The other half of the time it is easier for the van to come to you. Yonkers has a lot of apartment parking and a lot of driveways cut into slopes, so we ask two things before booking mobile: is the spot reasonably level, and does whoever runs the lot know we are coming. Parkway driving accounts for most of the chips we fill for Yonkers cars. We are on the downtown stretch of Main Street with metered spaces out front and municipal garages a block off, and the Metro-North station is a short walk if you would rather leave the car. If none of that suits, the van comes to Yonkers instead and the price does not change.
