Larchmont splits into three driving environments. The Post Road cuts across the top of it with steady commercial traffic and constant turning movements. Palmer Avenue runs parallel and quieter, feeding the Chatsworth Avenue shops and the station, where commuter parking is permit-heavy and full by eight. Then the Manor drops south toward the water, laid out on narrow lanes with stone walls close to the curb, where plenty of houses have one driveway and no garage a modern SUV actually fits in. Weaver Street and Murray Avenue carry the north-south local traffic toward Mamaroneck and the Scarsdale line. None of it is difficult driving, but it is the sort of place where leaving a car somewhere for a day is genuinely inconvenient, and that shapes how people book glass work.

Salt air does more here than people expect. Cars parked within a few blocks of Manor Park and the Sound sit under a fine film for most of the winter, and grit in that film gets dragged across the windshield by the wipers until the glass is scored enough to catch and hold a chip. From the Chatsworth Avenue shops, take Palmer Avenue or the Post Road southwest and stay with it into New Rochelle, where the Post Road becomes Main Street. We are in the 500 block near the train station, about two and a half miles and under ten minutes when the lights cooperate. Meters run along the front of the shop and there is a garage a block off if the curb is taken. Coming out of the Manor, Larchmont Avenue up to Palmer is the simplest line. Only with the lot operator's permission, which is worth checking before you book. Permit parking around the station is tightly managed and we do not want a tech arriving to a car that has to be moved mid-job. A workplace lot or your own driveway is simpler.
