Harrison is two places as far as glass work goes. There is downtown around Halstead Avenue and the station, where the streets sit close together and the commuter lots fill by eight. Then there is the Purchase side, where the Westchester Avenue corporate corridor and the college put thousands of cars into large open lots for eight hours at a stretch. Both suit us, for completely different reasons, and the split shows up in how the work gets booked.
Downtown means quick trips: come down I-95, drop the car, have a chip filled in half an hour while you wait. Purchase means mobile. If the car is going to sit in an office lot all day anyway, we would rather come to it than have you take half a day off to sit at a service drive. Harrison covers a lot of ground for a town people picture as a single downtown. That is one of our regular arrangements. We need the lot manager or building security to be comfortable with it, a level space where the car is not boxed in, and dry weather for the adhesive. The job runs about an hour with roughly another hour of cure after it, so a normal working day covers it easily. There is no extra charge for coming out to you.
